Adoption Management

Adoption Management

The KEA Adoption Management process is implemented to ensure a client’s expenditure is always allocated in the right areas to achieve optimum performance and impact.

All unadopted sites are apportioned with a priority score which is a grading based on any known information including:

  • Annual Maintenance Costs
  • Location
  • Resident/Political Concern
  • Current Bond Value
  • Bond Facility/Overrun Fees
  • Age of Site

We use the information and formulate a program which outlines the sequence in which we would recommend that each of the sites are addressed.

As we apply the Adoption Management System to these schemes, we soon understand more about the project. We then establish a fixed adoption cost and highlight any factors which may inhibit the adoption.

Adoption Plan Key Features

  • Establishes an informed and considered approach when handling multiple sites
  • Ensures expenditure is being used in the most efficient areas
  • Allows for precise budget planning

The Recetment Wall supercedes the Gabion Baskets for Lincolnshire County Council

Recetment Wall – on top of highways and sewers, we have fully exerienced Groundworks teams who cover Retaining Walls, Site Clearance, Beck Clearance / Dredging and Demolition.

Here is a project we completed in Lincolnshire, where the adopting authority, Lincolnshire County Council required a Revetment Wall, over a Gabion Basket to retain the land adjacent to the Beck. Prior to the construction of the Wall, the beck required machine grading and cleaning out, to allow a smooth flow of surface water.

Testimonials

  • I have used other section agreement specialists before but none action at the speed that KEA is able to complete works and get inspectors to site to sign off. We have had no issues with any of the work they have carried out, we have never had to recall them and the authorities have confidence that if KEA are carrying out the remedials the work will be to adoptable standards first time.
